The Explorers have lots of freedom to plan and create their own programme and are involved in choosing their own activities and expeditions, all guided by our leaders. Our formal programme involves working towards badges and achievements, like The Duke of Edinbugh Award, Chief Scout Platinum Award, The Queen's Scout Award and many more.

The best adventures we have are often in the outdoors and can include anything from sleeping in hammocks to cooking using open fires and improving our backwoods cooking culinery skills.  Some of what we cook is even edible! Learning knots and then building with them is really great fun, and we've enjoyed making bridges, swings and seesaws, where only imagination is the limit.

All Explorers get the chance to complete The Duke of Edinburgh Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.  There are loads of other activities on offer including camps and an annual trip to the Cally Rally at Inverness with Scouts from across Scotland.  Along with this there are loads of opportunities just to be yourself, joining in some real silly antics with games and laughs in our weekly meetings.  We really believe that our Explorers live up to the full meaning of their name and we'd love to welcome new members.

If your interested give us a shout! It's never too late to join!
